Monkstown Abbey Road Residents’ Association

Is our area a Community?
or a Crossroads?

You don’t pay a small fortune in taxes and mortgage repayments or rental payments to live in a commuter crossroads, but rather to live in a Community.

We believe you are entitled to a strong voice in how your neighbourhood is run. That is why the ‘Monkstown Abbey Road Residents’ Association’ has been founded by local resident Marc Coleman.

He believes that by regular engagement with local representatives and the Local (and where relevant national) Authorities, together we can improve decision making for all our benefit.

Will turning Deansgrange Road into a cycle path make a bad traffic situation even worse?

Will student apartments overcrowd Baker’s Corner?

Could recent traffic policy changes lead to a widening of Rochestown Avenue and Abbey Road?

Is the coastal area of Monkstown getting preferential treatment in traffic and investment decisions?

Why are children in some areas (Rowanbryn, Fleurville) protected by speed bumps, but not others Abbey Road, Rockford Park).

Why are some public green spaces (Carysfort Park) more endowed with investment in landscaping than others ?
